Why Pick West-Mont United Soccer For Your Child?
Why pick West-Mont United SA for your child?
West-Mont United Soccer Association is the #1 local soccer association. Ask your neighbors, your friends or simply ask around. We were founded at Perkiomen Valley High School in 1976 and merely changed our name and centralized our facility to better serve you.
Why are we #1?
Our program is Safe:
Board members, Commissioners and Coaches receive a background check.
Coaches participate in a preseason coach's clinic hosted by our Director of Coaching.
Our coaches know how to coach.
We have individual age divisions for children ages 5 thru 9. This means your child will play with children their own age. They will not participate with children 2 or 3 years older because we feel this is unsafe.
Your child will play on a field that is sized to match their developmental ability and endorsed by the USYSA (United States Youth Soccer Association).
We conduct a mandatory preseason coaches’ meeting. We cover important topics like basic first aid response, equipment and player safety.
We have Coach, Player and Parent Code of conducts. We enforce them.
Our program is Convenient and Fun:
HillTop Farm is a soccer only facility, centrally located in Limerick Township close to your home.
Your child will receive a uniform, play in a 6 game season, receive a participation award and take part in an end of season Fun Day event.
West-Mont United requires that each player play at least 1/2 of each game.
Why do we mandate this? We know that participation is paramount to having FUN.
We support the Schools:
We offer an annual College scholarship to a male and female soccer player from both the Perkiomen Valley High School and Spring-Ford High School.
Our Intramural, Travel and Premier programs have developed 99% of the current players at both the Perkiomen Valley and Spring-Ford High Schools.
Our Travel and Premier programs have developed the areas top Collegiate players.
Our current coaches/trainers are from local schools including:
- Jeff Ykoruk, Ursinus College girls’ head coach
- Kim Paulas, Perkiomen Valley High School girls’ Varsity head coach
- Donna Defreitas, Perkiomen Valley High School girls’ JV assistant coach
- Ray Hess, Spring-Ford High School girls’ Varsity head coach
- Mal Cooper, Spring-Ford High School boys’ Varsity assistant coach
- Pat Welch, Spring-Ford Middle School boys’ head coach
Our program has Integrity:
- We regularly share financial decisions so our members know and can appreciate how we are improving the program.
- We communicate with a first class newsletter.
- Registration and fundraising dollars go back into the soccer program. This way every child has the opportunity to
develop to their potential.
- Our monthly meeting dates are publicized and open to the public and members. We welcome comments and
encourage participation.
- Our monthly meeting minutes are publicized and posted on our web site.
