WMUSA is excited to host the Director of Coaching Diploma, presented by United Soccer Coaches on February 17-19, 2023.

The Director of Coaching Diploma course is designed to address the issues confronting the Director of an American soccer club. The curriculum has been created in cooperation with US Club Soccer. It examines the technical, conceptual, leadership and administrative skills of future and current Directors of Coaching for youth soccer clubs for the purpose of developing the American soccer player. This is accomplished through a curriculum rich in application and theory and will focus on organizational structure, methods of coaching, leadership theory, evaluation and development of coaches and players and fiscal, legal and moral responsibility. Candidates will understand each of the individual units of the club as well as the interrelationship of those parts to achieve the specific goals and objectives of a youth soccer club.

CHECK-IN

Check-In will begin at 4:30pm on Friday, February 17 at the West-Mont United Soccer Association, located at 560 Royersford Rd. Limerick, PA 19468. The opening session will begin at 5:30pm that evening.

You will be responsible for all your own travel arrangements. Please wait until you receive an email about course status from the United Soccer Coaches National Office to book your travel. 

PRE-COURSE ASSIGNMENT

There are no assignments due prior to the start of this course.

LODGING INFORMATION

Candidates are responsible for any housing needed for the duration of this course.

This is a lecture only course, so no playing is necessary. Bring comfortable clothing for indoor lecture sessions.
